Future impacts & Projections
Did you know?
Solar energy will have a huge impact on our future, and our planet.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) announced today that they expect solar electric generation will be the leading source of growth in the U.S. electric power sector through 2025.
We currently burn 101.5 million barrels of fuel each day to supply the electricity demand. As most know, this has continually introduced absolutely devastating effects on not only our environment and ecosystems, but our health too.
On a positive note, solar energy offers a vastly significant solution to this crisis and the IEA indicates from years 2022 to 2050 a substantial increase (about 380%) in renewable capacity, primarily driven by solar energy.
The shift in growth is influenced by factors such as modern business models, economic growth and government subsidies. Even in scenarios with lower economic growth, solar capacity is expected to grow significantly.
In contrast, fossil fuel generating capacity is projected to increase only modestly (about 11%), emphasizing a notable transition toward solar and other renewables in the U.S. energy landscape.
